Process Engineer | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Charlotte region seeking Process Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor and improve process performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, production, quality) to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and materials to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead and participate in process validation activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Hysys, PRO/II) and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies (Green Belt or higher certification preferred)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R, Python)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional improvement projects
  • Familiarity with automation and Industry 4.0 concepts
  • Experience with Process Simulation software
