Field Service Technician | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production machinery.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
• Calibrate and test equipment to meet specified operational and quality standards.
• Document service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Provide technical training and support to client personnel on equipment operation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during field service operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to customer sites.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA A+, PMMI Mechatronics)
• Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management and documentation
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
• Prior experience with robotic systems or automated manufacturing equipment
