Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Paw Paw that are seeking Estimators. Key Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates for new products, special projects, and engineering changes.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Collaborates with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate quotes.
• Evaluates vendor quotes and bids to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Develops and maintains a database of cost information for materials, labor, and services.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Presents detailed cost breakdowns and justifications to management and clients.
• Continuously seeks opportunities to improve estimating processes and accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for data extraction and analysis.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their impact on cost estimation.
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., PMP, CSQE, or specific manufacturing process certifications).
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (VBA, Power Query) for complex data manipulation.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing designs and extracting material data.
