Salary Range: $80,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Portage that are seeking skilled IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management system processes.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external IATF certification audits.
• Lead problem-solving activities using core tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) for customer and internal non-conformances.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process analysis and quality data interpretation.
• Manage APQP activities, including PPAP submission and approval, for new product introductions and changes.
• Ensure supplier quality performance meets IATF requirements through audits and corrective action follow-up.
• Facilitate risk assessments (e.g., FMEAs) and control plan development for manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in IATF 16949 requirements and their application.
• Proficient in core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Strong problem-solving skills utilizing methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and MSA.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with core quality tools and methodologies beyond IATF requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
