Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Wyoming that are seeking Materials Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and dispute resolution.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing agents, buyers, and inventory specialists.
- Collaborate with production planning and engineering to ensure timely material availability and support new product development.
- Implement and maintain robust materials management systems and processes to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and material costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization techniques
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with a variety of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, automated guided vehicles).
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their application in materials management.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize inventory control strategies (e.g., JIT, Kanban).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for inventory optimization and forecasting.
