Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking Materials Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of all raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs while ensuring material availability.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, competitive pricing, and quality compliance.
- Lead and mentor a team of materials planners, buyers, and warehouse personnel.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to forecast demand and align material supply with production schedules.
- Implement and maintain robust materials management systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turns, on-time delivery, and material cost variances.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material flow, warehouse organization, and logistics operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field (e.g., Engineering, Materials Science).
- 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) for inventory management, forecasting, and production scheduling.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.
