Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Manage inventory control processes, including forecasting, planning, and cycle counting, to maintain accuracy.
• Lead and mentor a team of materials planners, buyers, and inventory specialists.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to align materials flow with manufacturing schedules and customer demand.
• Implement and maintain robust supplier relationship management programs to ensure reliable supply.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management or purchasing within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of optimizing inventory levels and reducing carrying costs
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their application in materials planning
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of materials professionals

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for materials planning and inventory management.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) for process improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for supply chain optimization.
• Project management experience, particularly in supply chain or new product introduction.
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) demonstrating expertise in supply chain management.
