Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Rockford that are seeking skilled IT Systems Administrators. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux) and virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Administers and supports network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Implements and monitors cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
• Provides technical support for manufacturing systems, including SCADA, MES, and industrial control systems.
• Manages and maintains data backup and recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Administers user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory and other identity management systems.
• Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues across the IT environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT system administration, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), firewalls, and VPN solutions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a production setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies in an industrial setting (e.g., VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
