Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Jenison, MI
Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Jenison that are seeking Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Design and implement optimized layouts, workflows, and standardized work instructions.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of Lean initiatives.
- Train and mentor production teams on Lean principles and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cultural change towards a Lean mindset.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience implementing Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED) in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze manufacturing processes, identify waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, SPC).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, robotics)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
