Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allendale that are seeking skilled First Article Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product conformance.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measuring equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document detailed inspection results, identifying and reporting non-conformances accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
• Strong understanding of AS9102 FAI requirements and other relevant industry quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying and documenting non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with GD&T software (e.g., PolyWorks, Calypso)
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Proficiency in a CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
• Experience with CMM programming
