Inspection Technician | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $47,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records in accordance with quality procedures.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CMI, CQIA).
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
