Incoming Inspection Technician | Cadillac, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Cadillac seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Utilize various measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly in the designated quality management system.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve material quality.
• Maintain inspection equipment and work area in a clean, organized, and calibrated state.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficiency with various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM operation and/or programming.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
