Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Implement and maintain production equipment, tooling, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing defects and process deviations.
• Develop and execute process validation protocols to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition new products from design to full-scale production.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing process improvement, lean manufacturing, or automation within a production environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, or injection molding.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for design and analysis of manufacturing layouts and fixtures.
• Demonstrated experience with process optimization tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping).
• Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis or automation.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers or production staff.
