Salary Range: $77,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Muskegon region seeking HR Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with manufacturing operations.
  • Manage full recruitment cycle for all manufacturing positions, from entry-level to management.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation programs specific to a manufacturing workforce.
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management in a factory setting.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly those impacting manufacturing.
  • Lead training and development initiatives to enhance skills and safety within the production environment.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and safety programs relevant to manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HRIS utilization.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the unique HR challenges within the sector.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS implementation and optimization
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering HR training programs
  • Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification
