HR Generalist | Rockford, MI
Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Rockford region seeking HR Generalists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment for production and office staff, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave management, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
- Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
- Manage HRIS data entry and maintenance, ensuring accuracy and generating reports as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company objectives.
- Coordinate and conduct employee training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing professional development.
- Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct HR investigations and resolve employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
