Salary Range: $79,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead incident investigations for all EHS-related events, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and machine guarding.
• Oversee the facility's emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills and coordination with external agencies.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation, including permits, training records, and incident reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA and EPA regulations, with a proven track record of implementing and managing compliance programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing EHS teams and influencing cultural change.
• Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application to EHS.
• Certification in an EHS-related field (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
• Proven track record of implementing and improving EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish.
• Experience with developing and delivering EHS training programs.
