Salary Range: $44,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Manistee that are seeking EDM Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain EDM machinery for precision part manufacturing.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining parameters.
• Select appropriate electrodes, tooling, and fixtures for various EDM processes.
• Monitor EDM operations, adjusting settings to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues on EDM equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished parts using various measuring tools.
• Document production data, including setup parameters, cycle times, and material usage.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM)
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM equipment

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automated material handling systems.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Basic understanding of network connectivity for equipment.
• Ability to perform minor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
