EHS Manager | Otsego, MI
Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Otsego that are seeking EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.
- Provide EHS training to employees at all levels, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency preparedness, and machine guarding.
- Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects, processes, and equipment.
- Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to achieve continuous improvement.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are highly desirable.
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and their application to EHS.
- Proficiency in EHS management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
- Bilingual in Spanish or other relevant languages for the manufacturing workforce.
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Plans (RMP).
