Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives for complex quality issues.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and drive continuous improvement within the supply chain.
  • Drive the implementation of industry best practices and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Mentor junior quality engineers and provide technical guidance on quality-related matters.
  • Analyze field failures and customer complaints to identify trends and implement effective solutions.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical process control (SPC), lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification or higher preferred).
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry-specific quality tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, APQP).
  • Proven ability to lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process improvement.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
  • Experience with advanced problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Shainin, Red X).
