Advanced Quality Engineer | Coopersville, MI
Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Coopersville that are seeking skilled Advanced Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced quality control plans for new and existing products.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex quality issues.
- Utilize statistical methods for process control, capability analysis, and defect reduction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct supplier quality audits and drive supplier quality improvement programs.
- Mentor and train junior quality engineers on advanced quality methodologies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry standards.
- Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSGB, CSSBB) preferred.
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other ASQ certifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, welding)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Strong presentation and training skills
