Advanced Quality Engineer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $86,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Walker that are seeking Advanced Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action initiatives for complex quality issues.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other statistical tools for data analysis and process improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects and improving product reliability.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct supplier quality audits and work with suppliers to improve their quality performance.
- Mentor and train junior quality engineers on advanced quality techniques and methodologies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and their practical application.
- Expertise in statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and various problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
- ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead quality improvement projects and mentor less experienced engineers.
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with AI-powered quality tools or predictive analytics
- Strong background in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
- Familiarity with advanced metrology techniques and equipment
