Salary Range: $120,000 - $169,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allegan that are seeking skilled Controllers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, and payroll.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to provide accurate product costing and variance analysis.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other relevant financial reporting standards.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience in a private equity-backed manufacturing environment
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
