Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CMM programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Perform first article inspections and in--process dimensional checks.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to interpret specifications and resolve measurement issues.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment and related tools.
• Document measurement results, program changes, and inspection procedures.
• Train production personnel on proper part handling and measurement techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs, particularly with PC-DMIS software.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in metrology.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Experience with various measurement tools and techniques beyond CMMs.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a manufacturing quality environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, metrology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems
• Ability to interpret complex GD&T on aerospace or medical device blueprints
• Prior experience in a metrology lab setting, including instrument calibration
• Strong understanding of automation and robotic integration with CMMs
