Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Buyers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and inventory.
• Issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle from creation to closure.
• Monitor supplier performance, address non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure material availability and quality for manufacturing.
• Analyze market trends and commodity prices to inform purchasing strategies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or buyer role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and achieve cost savings.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for procurement and inventory management.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPSM).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application to supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking.
