Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and fostering continuous improvement.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and internal demand to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure material specifications and delivery meet operational requirements.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, conducting due diligence and managing the onboarding process.
• Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and optimize efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on material requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
• Multilingual, particularly in languages relevant to global supply chains
