Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize cost and quality.
• Source and evaluate new suppliers to expand the vendor base and ensure competitive offerings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and mitigate risks.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and components.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring availability for production needs.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchase order processing and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain principles, and material requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices
• Project management experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
