Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Fremont that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding methods.
• Perform simulations and make adjustments to programs to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC machine programming.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and workholding methods.
• Knowledge of various materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics) and their machining characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with GibbsCAM or other advanced CAM software beyond basic toolpath generation.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software for model manipulation and fixture design.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC mills for proving out new programs.
• Familiarity with robotic automation for machine tending or part handling.
