Bookkeeper / Office Manager | St. Johns, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across St. Johns seeking Bookkeeper / Office Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process payroll, including tax filings and benefits administration.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Oversee office supplies inventory and procurement.
- Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for financial records and office documents.
- Coordinate vendor relations and manage facility-related service requests.
- Assist with HR administrative tasks, such as onboarding and record-keeping.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with all levels of staff and external contacts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in an office management role within a manufacturing or similar industry.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros) for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with expense management software (e.g., Concur, Expensify)
- Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., CB, QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor) or office administration
