Salary Range: $77,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across DeWitt seeking Automation Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots for new and existing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and define requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for automation-related failures and implement corrective actions.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or robotics within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Experience with vision systems, sensors, and other automation components.
• Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot automation solutions for manufacturing processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems and historian databases.
• Familiarity with ISA-95 and other industry standards for manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for data collection and analysis.
