Salary Range: $54,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators) to ensure quality and adherence to tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs for part production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common machine alarms, tool wear, and minor operational issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Adjust machine offsets and tooling as needed to maintain part quality and optimize cycle times.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience operating CNC Swiss Lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.).
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming, with ability to make minor program edits.
• Experience with tool changes, offsets, and machine setup for new parts.
• Ability to troubleshoot common machining issues and perform routine machine maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for program optimization.
• Proficiency in using a CMM for part inspection and verification.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
