Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of fabrication technicians, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
  • Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Manage daily production schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Provide technical guidance, hands-on support, and training to team members on fabrication techniques and equipment operation.
  • Oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all fabrication machinery and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production planning, and other departments to optimize workflows and resolve technical issues.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control procedures within the fabrication area.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in various fabrication techniques including welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), machining, cutting, and forming.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising and mentoring a team of fabricators.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering blueprints, schematics, and CAD models.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to quality control standards and workplace safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for fabrication processes and equipment.
  • Experience with production scheduling, material management, and workflow optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
  • Experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced welding certifications (e.g., CWI, specific exotic materials).
  • Experience with robotics or automation in fabrication processes.
