Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Traverse City that are seeking skilled Electrical Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and schematics for manufacturing equipment.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and SCADA systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical failures in production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Lead electrical projects for new equipment installation, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Ensure all electrical systems and installations comply with relevant safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA) and company policies.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance technicians and production personnel on electrical systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI development for industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, motor controls, VFDs, and power distribution.
• Proficiency in designing and interpreting electrical schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing complex electrical systems and machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial automation platforms (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA).
• Familiarity with industrial robotics and machine vision systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in arc flash analysis and NFPA 70E standards.
