Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines, including wire and sinker EDMs.
• Load, verify, and execute CNC programs for various EDM operations.
• Monitor machine performance, adjust parameters, and troubleshoot issues during operation.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on EDM machines and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine job requirements.
• Select and prepare appropriate electrodes, wire, and dielectric fluids for specific machining tasks.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for machine operation and minor program adjustments.
• Strong commitment to quality control and adherence to safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for programming or design interpretation.
• Experience with precision metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, surface finish gauges).
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with other CNC machining processes (e.g., milling, grinding, turning).
