Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including wire and/or sinker EDM machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining operations and specifications.
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
- Monitor machine operations, adjust parameters (e.g., power, feed rate, spark gap), and troubleshoot minor issues to optimize performance.
- Load and unload workpieces, fixtures, and electrodes, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on EDM machines, including cleaning, fluid checks, and electrode changes.
- Document production data, quality checks, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience operating EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including wire and/or sinker EDM.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic programming (e.g., G-code, machine-specific software) for EDM machines.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and optical comparators.
- Strong understanding of different material properties and their impact on EDM processes, with good troubleshooting skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for programming and setup (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit).
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment for part inspection (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
- Background in tool and die making or mold manufacturing.
- Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on EDM machinery.
