Salary Range: $47,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment according to specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished workpieces into EDM machines.
• Monitor machine performance, tool wear, and part quality during operation.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions and make minor adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Select, prepare, and install appropriate electrodes and tooling for each job.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of EDM principles, tooling, and setup procedures.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for machine operation and process issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for interpreting programs or making minor edits
• Proficiency in precision metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Basic electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles
