The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate various manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, forming, molding).
• Perform routine quality checks on manufactured parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or production issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of press machinery.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products from the press.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and operational procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, mechanical).
• Proven mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting, adjusting, and performing minor maintenance on machinery.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and experience with in-process quality control procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance or minor machine repair.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency with advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator).
• Basic welding or fabrication skills for die/fixture maintenance.
