Quality Technician | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications and tolerances.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records.
• Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials and products.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues and customer complaints.
• Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and work instructions throughout the manufacturing process.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and reading technical blueprints.
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data and observations.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
• Familiarity with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipment
• Internal auditor experience for ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards
