Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and maintenance of precision measurement equipment and gauges.
  • Conduct detailed dimensional inspections of components and assemblies using various metrology tools.
  • Operate, program, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated inspection systems.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
  • Document measurement results, maintain calibration records, and generate inspection reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment and processes.
  • Support manufacturing and quality teams by providing accurate measurement data and analysis.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced measurement equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately use a wide range of precision hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, calibration processes, and measurement uncertainty.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Advanced CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, PolyWorks)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar professional certification
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and related data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation standards
  • Proficiency in CAD software for fixture design or model interpretation
