Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, and engineering roles.
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions within a plant environment.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures compliant with labor laws and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs focused on safety, compliance, and skills development for the production workforce.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the manufacturing sector.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives, including talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning for key operational roles.
  • Collaborate with EHS to promote a safe working environment and manage workers' compensation claims effectively.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Significant HR management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, HR best practices, and manufacturing-specific compliance (e.g., OSHA).
  • Proven track record in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management for a diverse workforce.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition and retention strategies for skilled production and hourly roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP/CP) highly preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Prior experience managing HR in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local manufacturing workforce.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
