Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Operate CMM machinery to execute inspection programs and collect dimensional data.
  • Analyze measurement data, interpret results, and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve measurement issues and improve part quality.
  • Select and apply appropriate probing strategies and measurement techniques for complex geometries.
  • Maintain CMM program files, setup sheets, and calibration records in accordance with quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration verification of CMM equipment and accessories.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • 3+ years of experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for model-based programming and feature extraction.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor)
  • Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and applications
  • Experience with CMM fixture design and fabrication
  • Ability to train and mentor junior CMM operators/programmers
