Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Kalamazoo that are seeking skilled Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for quality improvement.
• Perform product inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions.
• Maintain quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, and inspection records.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
• Experience with metrology and inspection techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
• Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus).
• Experience with specific manufacturing processes relevant to the company's products (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, SMT).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
