Shipping & Receiving Lead | Manistee, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Manistee seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving clerks.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to ensure timely material flow.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and compliance with regulations.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a small team
• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, including LTL, FTL, and international shipments
• Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, with a valid certification
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems
• Certified in forklift operation and other material handling equipment
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• HAZMAT certification or experience handling hazardous materials
