Salary Range: $47,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Lansing region seeking Quality Inspectors. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production personnel to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis for defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T knowledge a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results and identify non-conformances.
