Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Norton Shores that are seeking skilled Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming materials and components against specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Identify and report non-conforming materials, initiating the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.
• Utilize various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) effectively.
• Collaborate with purchasing and engineering to resolve material discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
• Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience with various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to accurately document inspection results and identify non-conformances

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with optical comparators or vision systems.
• Familiarity with various measurement tools beyond calipers/micrometers (e.g., thread gauges, bore gauges).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
• Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for inventory and quality data.
