Payroll Specialist | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Holt region seeking Payroll Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, raises, and deductions.
• Calculate and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and other deductions.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and HRIS systems.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
