Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Hudsonville that are seeking Metrology Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform precision measurements using CMMs, optical comparators, and various hand tools.
• Calibrate and maintain measurement equipment according to established procedures and schedules.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing process plans.
• Document measurement results, analyze data, and generate inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and assist in root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve measurement processes and product quality.
• Develop and validate new measurement routines and programs for automated inspection systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing metrology role.
• Proficiency with various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with calibration procedures and maintaining measurement traceability.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
