Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Materials Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Manage inventory control processes, including forecasting, cycle counting, and discrepancy resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of materials planners, buyers, and inventory specialists.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales to ensure material availability for manufacturing schedules.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.
• Implement and maintain robust material tracking systems and data analysis for performance improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization techniques
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for materials planning and inventory management.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for supply chain optimization.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs processes.
