Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Press Operator / Setups. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing presses to produce parts according to specifications.
• Perform setup and changeover procedures for various presses, including tooling adjustments.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Interpret and follow work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance on presses
• Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface operation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical diagrams
