Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Press Operator / Setups. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manufacturing presses to produce parts according to specifications.
- Perform setup and changeover procedures for various presses, including tooling adjustments.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Interpret and follow work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, pneumatic).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with preventative maintenance on presses
- Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical diagrams
