Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Traverse City that are seeking skilled PLC Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC programs for automated manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing PLC programs and control systems.
• Configure and integrate HMI applications for operator interface.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to define control system requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and upgrades of control systems.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for PLC programs and control systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience programming PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram programming.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and integration.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
