Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive first article inspections (FAI) according to AS9102 standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product compliance.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly in FAI reports and designated quality systems.
• Identify and document non-conformances, initiating corrective actions as required.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various inspection tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and application.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
